Five coups teach you how to loosen rusted stainless steel screws

I believe that everyone is no stranger to stainless steel screws. Stainless steel screws play a very important role in life, and are widely used in electrical, electrical, mechanical equipment, electronic products, ships, chemicals, water conservancy and so on. However, does the stainless steel screw really not rust? Many people have a one-sided erroneous view on stainless steel screws. They think that "stainless steel is not rusted, and rust is not stainless steel." In fact, stainless steel screws are frequently used in daily life, and they are prone to rusting for a long time. So once it rusts, how do we loosen the stainless steel screws?

1, earthquake

For rusted screws, do not use a wrench to harden the screws to prevent the six corners of the screws from being screwed, twist the screws or screw the wrench. At this point, you can use a hammer to gently shake the handle of the wrench. Generally, the rusted screws can be shaken off.

2, knock

It is easy to loosen the nut by tapping the rusted stainless steel nut with the edge of the square top hammer. For example, the nut of the fixing bolt at both ends of the bicycle pedal can be tapped according to the thickness of the pedal, the metal structure, and the force to tap the nut. The nut at the cast iron can be used slightly more, and the plastic should be tapped lightly. If it still doesn't work, you can easily remove the nut by tapping the nut with a hammer in the direction.

3, burning

Some screws are very hard to embroider. If the above method still does not work, you can use "fire attack". Use a gas welding oxidizing flame to fully screw the nuts and nuts, and then apply a trace of oil to the red-hot screws. The purpose of the heating screw is to thermally expand the screw. The purpose of dripping oil is to make the screw shrink rapidly when it is cold, and increase the gap between the screw and the stainless steel nut. When the oil flows in, the nut can be unscrewed. However, if there is a plastic device nearby, use this method with caution.

4, rushing

In some devices, the top of the stainless steel screw is corroded and can not be removed with a wrench or wire cutter, and the impact method can be used. First, use a hammer and a flat-top screwdriver to impact a v-groove in the vertical direction of the top of the screw. Then, adjust the angle of the cone and impact it in the direction in which the screw is screwed out. After loosening, the screw can be screwed out with a wire cutter. This method can also be used when the "one" or "ten" screw is slid, and the screw is screwed out together with the wire cutter.

5, welding

When removing the device, it is not uncommon to unscrew the screw. For the screw with broken top, the electric drill is generally not used, because the wire hole is drilled if it is slightly inadvertent. A better method is to weld a long piece of iron on the broken wire. The cross section of the iron block is determined by the diameter of the stainless steel screw.
