1. Clear color target

1. Have a clear and comprehensive understanding of the samples to be blended. Because the sample obtained will not be unique, it may be plastic parts, pantone numbers, photos, leather, metal parts, etc. All the colored things may be what you need to know.

2, according to plastic raw materials, distinguish between soft and hard rubber powder. This will narrow the range of toner.

3. Select the toner or color master according to the molding process (such as: medium temperature toner or high temperature resistance).

4. There are no special requirements for weather resistance, chemical resistance, no filler or other additives, and environmental protection.

5. Under what light source is the color, is there a requirement? Because of the sample, the color will be different under different light sources such as natural light, fluorescent light, and ultraviolet light.

Second, analyze the hue

The principle of toning should be followed: first adjust the depth, then the color phase, and finally the micro-toner is poor; the depth can be blended with the black and white powder and the toner's own shade and saturation.

Steps to analyze the hue:

1. Observe the transparency of the sample

Generally divided into transparent, translucent and opaque (also known as solid color, solid color refers to low transparency), there are two ways to adjust the transparency, one is to increase titanium dioxide, and the other is to increase the saturation of the toner. .

2, observe the sample surface

(1) If the surface of the sample is white, that is, some white light is in the solid color, it means that the sample contains titanium dioxide. If the white color is heavy, it means that the titanium dioxide content is definitely more.

(2) If the sample is very bright, that is, the chroma is high, the amount of titanium dioxide is small, and the amount of color toner is much. (The toner content is high, the color is bright, and the color is also dark; on the contrary, the color is light and the brightness is low)

(3) If the surface of the sample is dark and bright, and the surface is white, it can only increase the amount of titanium dioxide and increase the amount of toner to be blended.

Note: If the sample is transparent, you need to choose organic pigments or dyes with good transparency. If it is opaque or translucent, it is necessary to judge the content of titanium dioxide in the sample based on actual experience, and then determine whether to add black extreme proportion according to the hue.

Third, how to determine the color formula

1. First determine the content of titanium dioxide, which is the key to the technology. Because the content of titanium dioxide changes, the color will change greatly, and the amount of other toner will change accordingly;

2. Analyze which color range of the color matching sample is composed of which color, which is the primary color, and which is the secondary color, and what is the ratio. (Try to choose a pigment that is similar to the color of the sample, such as red color, the sample is yellow when the yellow color is used, and the bright color is bright red or fluorescent red as the main color);

3. Observe the vividness of the sample, consider whether to add fluorescent toner or add whitening agent.

Fourth, the trial match

1. According to the previous analysis, select the appropriate toner, the architecture formula;

2. Choose soft rubber or hard rubber according to the type of raw materials, which is resistant to medium temperature or high temperature resistant toner;

3. Select the pigment according to the transparency, determine the content of titanium dioxide and the degree of black and gray, and finally determine the hue of the hue, depth and brightness.

Fifth, the proposed color matching

1. Determine the proportion of titanium dioxide

2, determine the proportion of black toner

3, determine the proportion of the main color toner

4, determine the proportion of the secondary color toner (requires the proportion of fluorescent toner or whitening agent)

Six, injection proofing / fine tuning

Generally, it is formulated with 600 g of resin, and the toner and the resin are uniformly mixed according to the formulation ratio, and then plated by an injection molding machine. After the board is pressed, the sample is completely cooled, and compared with the color of the sample, the amount of the toner is added and subtracted according to the hue, depth, and vividness of the color of the sample, and the test is repeated until the desired color matching requirement is met. Seven, adjust the different color systems should pay attention to the problem of the white system as an example:

1. Under normal circumstances, the finer the titanium dioxide particles, the better the tinting strength. Commonly used titanium dioxide DuPont R105;

2, white is generally used in light-colored plastic products, usually added a large amount of titanium dioxide and a small amount of pigment to configure;

3, tune white to choose the bottom color with blue light titanium dioxide;

4. The higher the content of titanium dioxide in PC/aBS, the better the hiding power, but the hiding power is no longer increased when it is more than 8%.
