Technical requirements and overview of ARJ21 new turbofan regional aircraft

Based on the analysis of current and future regional aviation markets, especially for the current and potential needs of domestic market users, in line with the principle of improving the versatility of new regional aircraft and reducing the maintenance costs of airlines, AVIC Commercial Aircraft Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as ACAC) related design analysis of ARJ21 aircraft serialization and improvement, ACAC will be able to provide basic type (70-80 seat class) and extended type (90-100 seat class) with different cabin interior layout; design voyage 1200 nautical miles to 2,000 nautical miles; optional different equipment and other configurations for users to choose.

In addition to the passenger type, ACAC has conducted in-depth research on the cargo type and business model of the ARJ21 series aircraft in consideration of future potential markets. In addition, the development of regional cargo aircraft and business jets has been carried out with airlines. After discussion, I sought the opinions of the users. In addition to the procurement of dedicated cargo aircraft, another common practice for airlines today is to convert passenger aircraft that have been in operation for a certain period of time into cargo aircraft; and users believe that the market demand for domestic business jets will continue to grow (in Southeast Asia) Big demand). They all believe that the ARJ21 series aircraft has a good market prospect in considering the serialization of freighters and business jets.

The development of the ARJ21 series aircraft will start from the basic passenger transportation type, and then the cargo type and business model and the extension type and lengthening type will be introduced in due course.

Classified by design voyage

Depending on the size of the design voyage, the ARJ21 series of basic and extended aircraft have the following two different voyage configurations:

(1) Standard Range Version (Standard Range Version)

The original series name remains unchanged. Both the basic and extended standard range design voyages are 1200 nautical miles.

(2) Increase the range type (Extended Range Version)

Its name is tentatively set to the suffix "ER" in the original series name. The basic type increases the range of the voyage type design by 2000 nautical miles, and the extended type increases the range of the voyage to 1800 nautical miles.

Classified by usage

Classified according to the purpose of use, ARJ21 series aircraft can be divided into the following categories:

(1) Passenger type (Passenger)

Mainly used for passengers on scheduled airlines

(2) Freight type (Freight)

The ARJ21 cargo aircraft is mainly used for air cargo transportation. The original passenger cabin is equipped with various cargo facilities and can transport multiple standard containers or pallets.

(3) Business Jet (Business Jet)

Compared to passenger or cargo type, the business model has a smaller business load, but requires design features that meet the requirements for non-scheduled flight use. Due to the advanced supercritical wing design, the ARJ21 aircraft can reach M0.8 with a cruise Mach number; and with a spacious five-seat fuselage, the ARJ21-700 has a cabin volume of 117 cubic meters and a cargo space of approximately 17 cubic meters under the floor. 1.1 Compared with ordinary abrasive belt

1.2 Compared with diamond grinding wheels

Diamond grinding wheel is a rigid abrasive tool. In the grinding process, there are not good self-sharpening and easy to chip . Especially when automotive wind safety glass and other material need to be processed as curved surface of hard and brittle materials, if use diamond electroplated abrasive sanding belt can improve the grinding feed rate and working efficiency. And effectively solve the problem of glass chipping and maintain the original shape of the surface very good.

1.3 Compared with diamond resin belt

Diamond resin belt has resin bonded, also has double advantages of softness of a traditional coated abrasive and high hardness of the diamond. But when grinding, the heat will be accumulated in the diamond, it the heat will not be derived immediately, the temperature will be increased immediately, resulting the bond agent melting, the diamond will fall, and the service life is short. So diamond resin belt must grind by adding water to cooling, and the cost-effective of that is worse than diamond electroplated abrasive sanding belt.
