After 4 years, the Sinopec Group Company's scientific research project jointly developed by Sinopec Engineering Construction Company and Gaoqiao Petrochemical Co., Ltd., the new technology of cold wall gas collection control hydrogen furnace has passed the expert review of the headquarters, Gaoqiao Petrochemical No.1 and No.2 This new technology has been adopted in hydrogen production furnaces in hydrogen plants.



The newly developed full cold wall collecting pipe saves a large amount of high alloy steel due to the small amount of thermal expansion. Compared with the original hot and cold wall mixing structure, it saves about 43% of the one-time investment cost, and saves operating costs by reducing the pressure drop. In addition, the structure of the cold wall collecting pipe bottom is simple and compact, and is convenient for the enlargement of the hydrogen reforming furnace. Moreover, the temperature at the bottom of the furnace is low, which is convenient for visual inspection by the operator, thereby greatly improving the safety of the operation.



The hydrocarbon steam reforming hydrogen production furnace is the core equipment of the hydrogen production unit. The working temperature of the lower tail pipe and the lower gas collecting pipe is as high as 900 degrees Celsius or above, and must be made of high alloy steel. The temperature at the bottom of the furnace is high, and it is difficult for the operator to approach the visual inspection. At present, some industrialized countries have adopted the technology of the whole cold-walled gas collecting pipe.
