The specific construction conditions of the rubber waterstop connection method are as follows:
(1) The rubber waterstop should be leveled during installation, and the surface of the floating skin, rust and grease should be removed. If there are sand holes, nail holes, cracks should be welded. If the site is long, lap welding is preferred. The lap length should be no less than 20mm and should be welded on both sides (including the "nose" part). After the test can ensure that the quality can also be used for butt welding, but no manual arc welding is allowed.
(2) If it is a steel edge rubber waterstop, the surface of the welded joint shall be smooth, free from blisters or cracks, and shall not seep. Joints processed at the factory shall be spot-checked, and the number of random inspections shall not be less than 20% of the total number of joints. Joints welded in the field shall be inspected for appearance and penetration inspection one by one.
(3) The water stop belt should be installed accurately and firmly, and the nose center line and the center line of the joint should be ±5mm. After positioning, the cavity of the nose should be filled with plastic material. Do not use deformed, cracked, and torn polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or rubber waterstops.
The connection of the rubber waterstop belt should be vulcanized heat bonding; the connection of the PVC waterstop belt can be carried out according to the manufacturer's requirements, and the thermal bonding can be used (the overlap length is not less than 10 cm). Joints should be inspected one by one, without air bubbles, slag inclusions or false welds. (4) The corner of the tunnel section or the corner of the corner should be smeared into a circular arc with a radius of not less than 50mm to facilitate the construction of the waterstop. The corner radius of the rubber water stop belt shall not be less than 200mm, the steel sheet water stop belt shall not be less than 300mm, and the corner radius shall increase with the width of the water stop belt. (5) Do not punch or punch holes in the water stop to fix the water stop. In the process of fixing the waterstop and filling the concrete, care should be taken to protect the waterstop from being pierced by nails, steel bars and stones.
