The housing is horizontally split; there are two or four connecting bolt holes on the base.
Establishing the housing system The foundation of the SNL vertical housing system is the same but different sizes of housings. These housings with different standard seals are available; a wide range of housing types are available for the standard series. SNL vertical housings are capable of supplying shaft diameters from 20 to 160 mm.
The base of the reinforced base housing is reinforced by ribs around the bolt holes and additional information to improve the support on the base plate. The coupling bolts can be preloaded for better fixing; the base or bearing of the housing cannot be made Seat deformation.
The SKF housings with the adapter specifications have two coupling bolt holes on the base. The standard 511-609 and larger housings also have four cast coupling bolt holes; the type is marked FSNL. These larger housings There are also blind bolt holes (typed as SSNLD); but only for ductile cast iron.
Others; smaller housings below 511-609 can also be used for four-bolt units. There are cast markings at the additional holes.
An outstanding thermal bearing housing has additional ribs on the base; an additional external surface area is provided between the base and the base plate; and the heat dissipation of the bearing is improved.
It is convenient to smooth the SNL bearing housing with a grease nipple. The two tapping hole nipples are on the cover. The smooth bearing or the other nozzle orientation of the seal has a casting mark.
The cover and base are separated from the base and cover of the bearing housing. They are not interchangeable. To avoid confusion, the cover and base of each housing are marked with the same serial number.
