SG13 is marked with more than 400 workers, from more than a dozen provinces and cities, aged between 20 and 50 years old. They are the pillars of the family and the wealth of the site. In order to make employees feel intuitive about safety, after the project department entered the construction site, it invested more than RMB 200,000 to build a “Safety Education and Training Experience Hall” and stipulated that safety education and training experience must be conducted before jobs can be performed.

Use TRD construction equipment worth 10 million yuan to excavate a tunnel

The SG13 tender section is the connecting area between the airport and Lingkun Bridge. The total length is 1,513.97 meters, including 1358 meters of the tunnel and 173.97 meters of roadbed. The total project cost is 4.5701 billion yuan. The tunnel clearance height of the SG13 tender section is 6.9 meters, and the excavation is 15.3 meters at the deepest point. Zheng Zhongbao, head of the project engineering department, said that most of the land along the tender area is farmland, and the terrain is wide and the water network is well developed. Therefore, the tunnel excavation method (digging the foundation pit from the ground) is the most economical construction method for the tunnel construction of this tender section. Zheng Zhongbao said that the key processes of the Mingban Law include the reduction of groundwater table, foundation pit enclosure, earth excavation, foundation pit support, waterproof engineering, structural construction, and structural backfilling. Among them, the foundation pit enclosure and foundation pit support are the key technologies for ensuring safe construction.

On March 30, 2015, the SG13 standard project department of China Railway 14th Bureau entered the site and started construction in August of that year. Due to the requirement of the tender for the supporting structure of the foundation pit, the project department launched a TRD method in March this year. Compared with other construction methods, TRD construction efficiency has increased by a factor of two. Of course, the price of the equipment is not cheap, worth 10 million yuan.

At present, with the help of the TRD method, all the continuous walls of the bid have been completed. It is expected that the tender will be tracked in July next year.
