The national aluminum magnesium electrolysis equipment engineering technology research center passed the acceptance

The National Aluminum Magnesium Electrolysis Equipment Engineering Technology Research Center (hereafter referred to as the “National Center”), which was built on the basis of Guiyang Institute, has undergone three years of construction and operation. On February 17th, it was successfully accepted at the acceptance meeting organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

At the inspection and acceptance meeting, the group of experts after field visits, inquiries and discussions, that the "National Center" to complete the three-year preparatory tasks, achieved the assessment goals, unanimously agreed that the center passed the acceptance.

The "National Center" started construction on April 8, 2012. With the strong support of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Guizhou Science and Technology Department, the China Nonferrous Metals Association, Chinalco Corporation and other departments and units, it has integrated domestic technical resources and introduced foreign resources. Advanced technology forms a high level of research and innovation platform. During the three-year construction period, the “National Center” formed a technical research and development and industrialization team consisting of more than 100 people and built 4 research laboratories, 4 laboratories, and 2 pilot/industrialization bases. Thirty-two technical R&D projects, such as plans and national international cooperation plans, applied for 114 patents, formed 12 proprietary technologies, completed 14 national/industry standard specifications, and won 6 science and technology awards. The results of the development achieved good results. The economic benefits have made positive contributions to promoting scientific and technological progress and sustainable development in the aluminum-magnesium electrolysis industry in China.
