The causes of no high-voltage fire failure are ignition coil damage, ignition control module and accessory damage, ignition switch and line failure, ECM failure, etc.

First check the ignition coil. Disconnect the coupling on the ignition coil and turn on the ignition switch. The ra DC voltmeter measures the “+” terminal voltage on the connector to 12.5V, indicating that the low voltage circuit is normal. The "+" on the battery and the guide wire on the pole directly turn off the primary coil of the ignition coil. At this time, the central high voltage line of the ignition coil has a weak high-voltage fire to the ground, which proves that the ignition coil is intact and has no damage. Open the distributor cover and turn on the ignition switch. The DC voltage meter is used to measure the ignition voltage of the "+" pin of the ignition control module to 12.5V, which is within the normal range. Turn off the ignition switch, disconnect the ignition signal generator plug on the ignition control module, and measure the resistance value of the ignition signal generator with an ohmmeter to 650n, which is also within the normal range. It is preliminarily judged by the above inspection that the ignition control module or the ECM is faulty.

The replacement method is first used to verify the ignition control module.

Take a good distributor assembly of the same type and connect the distributor wiring harness connector, and connect the distributor housing to the ground wire, then turn on the ignition switch and turn the center shaft of the distributor by hand. The central high voltage line of the coil emits a strong high voltage fire to the ground. The test results show that the failure of the car without high-pressure fire is caused by damage to the ignition control module.

Troubleshoot Remove the original distributor from the engine, replace it with an ignition control module of the same type, and install the distributor on the engine in the original position.
