Recently, the innovation team of the Hubei Institute of Technology's power and energy storage power supply once again made significant progress in the research of lithium battery electrode materials. The latest scientific research results have been published in RSC Advances (RSC), an international magazine specializing in chemistry and materials (2015, 5, 46359-46365) published, the magazine has an impact factor of 3.7. This is the result of scientific research published by the internationally renowned professional magazine twice in recent months.
The first author of the research paper, the School of Chemistry and Materials Science, Dr. Ding Yu introduced: Lithium titanate electrode material has almost no structural changes in the charge and discharge process of the battery, has good safety and excellent cycle performance, and is mainly used for manufacturing. Large-scale energy storage and power lithium batteries are widely used in energy storage power grids, new energy vehicles, and power system integration. However, lithium titanate itself has poor conductivity and poor high-rate performance. The team used a simple process to coat the surface of lithium titanate with a nitrogen-containing carbon conductive layer approximately 2 nanometers thick by in-situ reaction, which effectively improved the cycle performance and large rate charge-discharge performance of lithium carbonate.
The research work was carried out at the Hubei Institute of Technology from design to completion. Luo Liangcheng, a 2012 student of the School of Chemistry and Materials Science, who participated in the experimental work, became the second author of this paper. The research work was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (21301054, 51402096). The relevant research results have been applied for national invention patents.
Not long ago, the team made a breakthrough in the research of natural graphite-based electrode materials. They improved the preparation process of lithium-ion battery anode materials and greatly reduced the cost of preparation. Its scientific research results were published in the international famous electrochemistry professional magazine "Electrochim Acta". Published.
