Recently, the Huang Hanmin Research Group of the State Key Laboratory of Oxo Synthesis and Selective Oxidation, Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was invited to present in the Chemical Reviews journal published by the American Chemical Society entitled Transition-Metal-Catalyzed Direct Addition of Unactivated C-H Bonds. Based on the CH addition reaction study conducted by the team since 2009, the review comprehensively summarized the direct hydrogen-hydrogen bond activation of multiple bonds such as simple hydrocarbons and carbon-carbon, carbon-nitrogen, and carbon-oxygen supported by transition metal catalysts. Addition reaction, introduced the relevant reaction mechanism in detail, analyzed the existing problems in the direct hydrocarbon addition field, and looked forward to the future development of this field.
The formation of new carbon-carbon and carbon-hetero bonds through the activation of transition metal-catalyzed inert carbon-hydrogen bonds and carbon-nitrogen bonds is an important research topic in synthetic chemistry. It can simplify the reaction of raw materials, shorten the reaction process, reduce environmental pollution as much as possible, in line with the development trend of modern green chemistry. Huang Hanmin's group has been working for many years on a series of new research progresses in the formation of novel metal-carbon and metal-nitrogen nucleophilic reagents through inert carbon-hydrogen bond and carbon-nitrogen bond orientation activation and conversion. A series of high-level research papers were published in the journals of Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Chem. Commun., Org. Lett., Chem. Eur. J., Adv. Synth. Catal. .
