Taicang Port's timber imports have exceeded 10 million cubic meters

According to statistics, as of the end of February this year, Taicang Port's timber imports have exceeded 10 million cubic meters, reaching 10.2 million cubic meters. The country of timber origin has expanded from the original Russia to more than 20 countries and regions such as the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Bolivia, Peru, France, and Germany. Taicang Port has become the second largest timber import port in Jiangsu Province, second only to Zhangjiagang. Russia's timber imports rank first among all maritime ports in China, and it has become the largest Russian and Canadian log distribution center in East China.

In recent years, the reason why the amount of timber imported by Taicang Port has grown at a rapid rate is that, in addition to location advantages, port conditions, transportation system and policy advantages, inspection and quarantine services are also important reasons. Taicang Port is not only a good quarantine facility, but also has the only state-level timber quarantine and disinfection treatment area in the Yangtze River Delta. It also provides services to enterprises.
