The internal structure of the ONU broadband network box is divided into four parts: the power distribution area, the fiber fusion area, the ONU equipment area, and the distribution area. Distribution area:

It is recommended that the distribution area be equipped with 10A 2P of the same grade or the same grade to facilitate the introduction of external power; one maintenance socket (including three sockets of three holes) can facilitate the power supply of the external equipment on the site. If it is an outdoor cabinet, you need to add a lightning protection module separately.

The user is required to install a grounding bar in the ONU broadband network box and a surge protector must be installed at the power supply.

The wiring module and ONU equipment installed in the user's ONU broadband network box must be grounded.

Fiber fusion zone:

In order to save the internal space of the information box, the design of the fiber fusion zone needs to be accurately calculated. It can also be installed on the inner side panel of the information box without affecting other routing channels. The fiber fusion zone consists of fiber holder, splice tray and pigtail fiber. The column consists of three parts.



The fiber holder is used for fiber-reinforced core fixing and fiber-tightening of the information box, and is generally an 8-core cable.



The splice tray is used for the fiber into the box and the fiber jumper.



The disc fiber wheel is used to consolidate excess fiber jumpers.



The fiber fusion splicing unit generally uses a 6-port ODF integrated module or a 12-port ODF integrated module.

ONU equipment area:

The ONU equipment installation area adopts the standard 19-inch bracket design, and the ONU equipment is hoisted (or side mounted) on the bracket. If the installation is unstable, it is also considered to install the reinforcement bracket.



Considering the difference in the depth of ONUs of various manufacturers, in order to ensure that all types of ONUs can be installed normally, the reserved depth of the ONU equipment area is not less than 300 mm.



In addition, in order to facilitate the binding of the ONU subscriber line, several cable management loops are designed between the ONU and the distribution area.

Wiring area:

According to the plan, the wiring area module in the ONU broadband network box is divided into an inner line area and an outer line area, the device side subscriber line card is connected to the inner line module, the user side incoming line card is connected to the outer line module, and the inner and outer lines are connected by the jumper connection to open the user. .

In the PON+LAN application environment, only the POTS port jumpers need to be considered, so the internal and external line terminals have the same requirements. Considering the terminal redundancy, the device capacity can be configured by 2.5 times. The jumper module is arranged according to the left and right or the upper and lower lines and the outer line. In terms of space saving and cost considerations, it is recommended to configure 110 wiring modules (25 pairs, 50 pairs, 100 pairs, 200 pairs, etc.).

In the PON+DSL application environment, according to the common practice in the industry, the number of terminals required on the internal line side is (device narrowband capacity + device broadband capacity *2), the external line terminal is the same as the device capacity, and the number of security units is the same as the number of external line terminals. . It is recommended to configure the MDF subrack.

The MDF subrack national common module is 32 lines for the inner line and 25 lines for the outer line. Each manufacturer also has its own module. You can calculate the inner and outer line terminals before configuring the MDF module.
