How LED Flood Lights Work

LED fill light is to use LED light-emitting diodes to fill the light to the object, LED light because of low energy consumption and high brightness is generally used in camera phones or digital cameras, for light does not make up fill light. Since the brightness of the LED LED is much lower than that of a real flash, it only has the function of “filling the light.” Some mobile phones now use the same flash as the camera, such as Sony Eron’s K790c, and the Xenon flash. The effect is better than the LED fill light, but it cannot be used as a flashlight like the LED.
The principle of LED flash : LED does not emit light through the electronic transition inside the atom, but by adding voltage to both ends of the PN junction of the LED, the PN junction itself forms a level, and then the electrons jump in this energy level. Change and produce photons to emit light. Qualified LEDs should have a lifetime of around 100,000 hours at rated power. If the mobile phone is designed to use the LED's driving current beyond the rated current, the LED lifetime will be greatly shortened to several thousand or even hundreds of hours.
What is a xenon flash?
The principle of xenon flash: after the trigger of the camera, the 12V power supply is increased to a high voltage pulse voltage of more than 20,000 volts through the transformer in a moment, and the xenon in the xenon bulb is started to generate 6000K--10000K color temperature in the arc. With strong light, the color is slightly purple in blue. When the shutter is pressed, the shutter feeds back a signal to the CPU. At the same time, the CPU synchronously outputs a control signal trigger circuit to the triode for flashing. The triode is then turned on, causing the trigger capacitor to begin discharging, creating a pulsed current on the primary of the transformer. This current causes the secondary voltage of the transformer to generate a high voltage of nearly 4000V, which energizes the flash lamp to ionize and conduct the internal helium gas. The electric energy stored on the capacitor is instantly converted into light energy through flash tube discharge, completing one flash.
Xenon flash , also known as high intensity gas discharge flash. The xenon flash lamp consists of a xenon bulb, a variable voltage ballast, and an insulated wire. It uses a special xenon gas to fire and discharge in an ultra-high voltage state.
Early flash life was very short, and some magnesium tubes only flashed once. According to industry standards, the actual life expectancy at that time was far less than 10,000. The current flash has undergone technological transformation and its life expectancy has increased.
