Chinalco Zhongzhou Branch Company's "Strengthening sintering alumina production process" won the National Technology Invention Award

Recently, the results of the “Intensified Sinter Alumina Production Process” jointly completed by Chinalco Zhongzhou Branch Company and Central South University won the second prize of National Technological Invention and achieved a breakthrough in China's technological invention. In cooperation with Central South University in 1999, the Zhongzhou Branch Company achieved the important achievement of “reinforcing sintering process to produce new alumina technology”. Through the implementation of industrialization and reconstruction and expansion, not only the production capacity has increased by 320,000 tons, but also the sintering system The energy consumption of alumina has been reduced by 41.7%. Only one energy consumption has been consumed, saving 690,000 tons of standard coal annually and generating annual economic benefits of more than RMB 100 million. With the implementation of the new alumina production process through the enhanced sintering method, the main technical indicators of the Zhongzhou Branch's sintering method rank the best in the domestic industry, and the alumina cash manufacturing cost has reached the level of the domestic mixed-joint method.
