Effect of Nano-A1N on Properties of Low Temperature Ceramic Bonding Agent

Abstract The effect of nano-A1N on the properties of Na2O-B2O3-SiO2 borosilicate glass system ceramic bond was discussed. The thermal properties, XRD, refractoriness, flexural strength, and coefficient of linear expansion of the ceramic bond were tested under different firing temperatures and atmospheres using differential thermal analyzers, X-ray diffractometers, etc., and the results showed : Nano-A1N promotes crystallization in ceramic bond under argon atmosphere; when nano-A1N mass fraction w is 6%, the sintering temperature range of binder increases by 30oC; in argon atmosphere, the firing temperature is 710oC. When the mass fraction w of nano-A1N was added, the flexural strength of the binder was the highest, reaching 35.64 MPa; the addition of nano-A1N decreased the coefficient of linear expansion of the binder, and the mass fraction w (A1N) was 6%. The average linear expansion coefficient of the agent is 4.99 X 10-6 ° C-1. (Diamond and Abrasives Engineering, 2009, Issue 2)
